Yes, on both Android and iPhone. Every feature except animated radar and the
extra radar layers is free, with ads. An optional Premium subscription removes
the ads and adds those radar features.
No. The app’s alerts are worked out from the forecast for your saved
places: severe weather, rain or snow on the way, temperature and wind. They are
a useful heads-up, not a replacement for official warnings, so follow your
national weather service and your phone’s emergency alerts as well.
How weather alerts work.
No. You can search for a city or pick a popular one instead. If you do allow
location, it is used to show the weather where you are.
The app keeps the last forecast it downloaded, so you can still read it without
a connection. It updates again as soon as you are back online.
Up to 10, for example home, work and family. Switch between them in the app, or
give each home-screen widget its own place.
Local Weather is about reading the weather quickly: large text, few screens, on
Android and iPhone.
Transparent Clock & Weather
is for people who want to design their home screen, with 15 clock and weather
widgets, many skins and a choice of forecast providers, on Android.
